This YouTube Channel Is Worth Your Clicks.

Land of the Free and home of the radio.

First of all I hope everyone who participated in Field Day had a great weekend. If you did not make it to Field Day, don’t sweat it! Remember, you can hit the airwaves any time you want and create your own personal “Field Day”. It may not have the cachet of the the real article, but you’ll still get plenty of practice and operating experience. Also, coming up soon is the birthday of the greatest nation that ever was or will be. Like many proud Americans, I will be gratefully celebrating my heritage and history and the people who made it happen. I hope everyone has a safe and meaningful Independence Day.

And now for our feature presentation….

I wanted to pass along a real gem of a YouTube channel that is well worth your clicks. In the past I’ve received invitations to appear as a guest on other blogs and YouTube channels; for personal reasons I’ve always declined. However, the guys behind this channel were persistent. After checking out their previous videos and some back and forth discussion, I was convinced that setting my reluctance aside and accepting their invitation would advance my goal of promoting off grid ham radio.

So when you have a moment, head over to Ham Radio Perspectives on YouTube and give them a like/subscribe. They are good people over there.

Thanks so much to Ham Radio Perspectives for reaching out and not taking no for an answer!

Very nice video, Chris. It’s nice to place a face to your name.

You spoke of future posts planned to OffGridHam. Here is one for consideration for the beginner: overcoming challenges related to geography like living in a deep canyon vs on the plains. Or in a previous location I was in the Nebraska Sandhills and frustrated that the sand literally sucked up the radio waves’ skip. In a forest vs the open? And other things that one doesn’t even know to ask.

Hi JR, it’s always great to hear from you. Many of the articles that appear on ”Off Grid Ham are from reader suggestions, questions, and comments. So consider your idea submitted for consideration.

      Thanks again for your support.
