I’ll be visiting the Chicago area on Fathers’ Day weekend and plan on making a stop at the Six Meter Club of Chicago hamfest June 18 at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, Illinois.

Come on by and see me if you’re in the neighborhood. I’d love to meet some of my readers and personally thank you for making Off Grid Ham the huge success that it has become. I’ll be in the outdoor flea market area; look for the solar panels.

I will bring the portable solar power station, the Off Grid Ham 100 watts for $300 project, the  Off Grid Ham portable DC power pack, and maybe a few other gizmos. All will be up and running. Hopefully it will be a bright sunny day so I can demonstrate the full capabilities of the equipment. I’ll be glad to answer questions and talk about off grid/renewable energy for ham radio.

I will be there strictly for noncommercial demonstration/exhibit purposes. I will not be selling anything and I have no affiliation with the Six Meter Club.

The Six Meter Club puts on a really nice hamfest and there will be lots of other great things to check out while you are there. Tickets are $6.00 in advance or $8.00 at the gate.

Click here for the hamfest flyer, which includes directions to the fairgrounds and talk-in frequencies.

Hope to see you there!
